![]() ![]() I couldn't find any info on the net about this. Its very odd that I had to do this, seeing as the trust path was showing good, something has changed, I don't know what but I hope this helps someone. With Windows 2012, even though the trust path was showing as good, I could notĪssign the certificates to Lync 2013 until I moved the intermediate certificate (drag n drop in certificate mmc). The procedure assumes that there is an internally deployed certification authority (CA) that can process the request. I can only assume there has been some change in Windows 2012, on my Lync 2010 server (2008 R2) the intermediates are in the personal computer store and everything works fine. Lync Server 2010 introduced a set of Lync Server Management Shell Windows PowerShell cmdlets for the express purpose of managing certificate request, import, and assignment. ![]() This had already been imported and the trust path was working.Įventually I found the solution, I had to move the intermediates from the computer personal store to the computer intermediate certificate store. Our certificates are from Go Daddy, who use an intermediate certificate, This really threw me, the import had been successful and I was able to view the certificate trust path without any problems, so I couldn't understand why I was getting the error. Root certificate in the Trusted Certification Authorities store." I was able to import them onto my new lyncĢ013 (windows 2012) server, but when I tried to assign them I got the following error.Įrror: An error occurred: ".UnknownObjectException" ""40546B3DD3668B6F0741871221879DA3CE5E1799" not found in MY certificate store or not trusted. I exported the certificates and private keys (something I have done many times before). We use a public certificate on our 2010 edge server and I wanted to use the same certificate when deploying lync 2013 edge. I had an issue deploying the lync 2013 edge server, specifically, assign the certificates. This isn't really a question, but it might help someone. ![]()
